The difference between long term and short term

Long term - You will be referring to large take profits on D1, W1 time frames
Short term - You will be referring to smaller take profits on H4, H1, M30 time frames

Long term - requires a very strong margin
Short term - requires more or loss 400pips to loose will do

Long term - Opened-Closed position period about 1 month
Short term - Opened-Closed position period 15minutes-3days-5days

Short term trading is when we open our trade and trade in the smaller time frame this is the right thing which we need to know here because from the look of things many newbie trader do fall victim to this its better for the newbie trader to trade first with long term trading which comprises of 1week or so timeframe than doing swing trading in 5m,15m time frame

the long term trade we open for long time. like we open the trade in d1 and we will get the huge amount and huge pips. on the other hand we have need big capital like you said that is true.

and the short term trade open for few minutes or few hour then lock profit and close trade. and on thing more about that which is that . we make profit from every way moving of the market. like buy or sell.

short term trading is called scalping and intraday trading and in this style of trading trader try to earn profit in every pips and in ever minute but in long term trading trader are open a deal and wait for hours and some time days these type of trading are called long term trading i am short term trader and i am very happy with my trading style ...

i am an small investor so i am trading in forex as a short term trader. i have so brief knowledge about long term and short term trader.as far as a know for long term trading we need big investment and our profit target and stop loss also long and use long time frame for trading.
on the other hand for short trading we need not big investment and can trade for small profit and stop loss target and trade with small time frame.

Short term trading give you result in quick time and if you are pure trader then your targets must be high and they you can trade long term, majority of traders prefer short term trading/scalping just because they don't have strong analysis about long term and don't have idea about market movement, so they trade with market movement sometime they get succeed and sometime failure find them, but i think if we are long term trader then we can earn more but also in long term trading you can become more profitable and well trained trader!

Well I got two meanings of your discussion one is the Term long and short use for but or sell and another in long term trade mean when we open a position for a long time like for a week or more then that and short term trade is which we just open for some hours or for some minuets , Both long term and short term trades have their own benefits .

dear in my point of view long term trading is brought trading and market was up then your open position was in profit and market down then your position was but in short term trading short term is a selling trading you sell currency and if market down the price value then your sell position in profit and if market was up then your position was in loss

Short term trading is known as scalping through which it is possible to earn profit withing very short time, but scalping is risky. I prefer to get egg; not to eat the hen. Regular profit is better than any part-time high profit. I personally believe to get regular profit which can make me trusted and dependent on forex trade. Well this is advantage of long term trading that we need not keep an eye on the market always, and we may visit once a week or twice to get an idea about our trade. For long term trading traders basically take help of d1 chart along with fundamentals to earn from price appreciation as fundamentals reflect in prices. Trader bless their trade with sufficient margin to fight regular volatility and so they have no fear that small up downs can do any harm to their trade at all.
